Foreword:
Fishingisnotjustapastime,itisawayoflife.Fromthethrillofthecatchtothesatisfactionofawell-preparedmeal,fishingbringspeopletogetherandprovidessustenance.However,itisimportanttorememberthatinordertoenjoythebenefitsoffishing,onemustalsobepreparedtodealwiththerealitiesoftakingalife.Thisstorydelvesintotheintricaciesofkillingafishandtheemotionsthatcomewithit.
1.Thedaybeganearly,beforethesunhadevenrisenabovethehorizon.Thefishermenwokeupgroggybutexcited,eagertostarttheirdayonthewater.
2.Theygatheredtheirgearandsetoutontheboat,cruisingalongthecalmwatersofthelakeastheysearchedfortheirprey.
3.Suddenly,aflashofsilvercaughttheireye,andtheyknewtheyhadfoundwhattheywerelookingfor–aschooloffish.
4.Theycasttheirlines,waitingpatientlyforabite,untilfinally,oneofthelinestuggedatthehook.
5.Excitementcoursedthroughtheirveinsastheyreeledintheircatch,admiringitsbeautyandsize.
6.Butastheyliftedthefishontotheboat,somethingchanged.Theoncelivelycreaturenowlaystill,itsgillsgaspingforair.
7.Itwasatthismomentthattherealityofwhattheyhaddonesetin–theyhadtakenalife.
8.Thefishermenwerenotcallousorheartless,theyrespectedandreveredthefishtheycaught.Buttheyalsoknewthatinordertosurvive,theymusttakewhatnatureprovided.
9.Withthisinmind,theysettoworkonthenextstep–killingthefish.
10.Theprocesswasnotassimpleasitseemed.Itrequiredprecision,skill,andadelicatetouch.
